In the first week of January 2026, a young Hindu life was brutally cut short in Pakistan's Sindh province. 22-25-year-old Kailash Kolhi (also called Kailash Kohli), a simple Hindu farmer and tenant, was shot dead on January 4 in broad daylight in a village near Talhar, Badin district. Reports say he was killed by an influential local landlord named Sarfaraz Nizamani over a small dispute—possibly about building a hut on farmland.  The landlord allegedly fired two bullets into Kailash's chest at close range and then fled with armed men.
